Where are your Drupal servers located?

Our servers are all based in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland. We believe a locally-based server is essential for getting the best possible service, higher performance and faster speeds for your website.

Will Drupal Hosting transfer my current Drupal website to the new server for me?

Absolutely. This is a very simple process and we are happy to do so, free of any charges. All the job entails is backing up your current site, downloading these files onto our database and then connecting them with your new Drupal Hosting account. Uploading the files to our servers is a fast and simple process, is totally secure, and can be done in 24 hours from the time we receive your payment.

My Drupal website has been cracked by hackers! What to do?

The most important thing is never to panic. Most issues that result from unauthorized access are limited in scope, and so they can be repaired easily by our support team. All you need to do when your site has been hacked is file a ticket, detailing what has gone wrong as clearly as you can. We promise to respond and repair within 24 hours of receiving your ticket, if not much sooner.

A small fee will be charged for using our support services.

We can also provide support to web masters whose sites are not hosted on our servers. Submit a ticket letting us know what problems you are having and we’ll get someone to help you out as soon as we can.

I want to use a template and fit an extension to my Drupal site. Can you help?

Absolutely, this is the kind of thing we excel at. For support services of this kind, again you need to submit a ticket which details the assistance you need. For some types of extensions, we may use outsources from third parties to perform the actual work that needs doing, which will be charged by the hour. Note however, if the fault is due to our servers malfunctioning in some way, then all repairs will be completed by us at no cost to you.

What Hosting Control Panel do you use at Drupal Hosting?

For our servers we use the cPanel interface, which is generally considered to be by far the best Hosting Control Panel for Drupal web servers. Using cPanel means we can do away with many repetitive tasks with ease, thanks to its user friendly, fully automated interface. The design of cPanel includes multi-administration levels, together with unique interfaces for each; admin, reseller, end user and email. This design provides exceptional security for your website.

Is it possible to change my Drupal hosting plan?

Of course, you can change your plan at anytime, as is your right. To do so, all you need to do is log onto your client dashboard, and then proceed to you “current hosting plan”. Select the new plan you want to upgrade or downgrade to, or if you wish, you can cancel your plan with us.

Can you upgrade my Drupal site to the latest version?

We can do this, but you will need to notify us by support ticket before we can take action. We charge a small fee to carry out this work for you and apply the new updates.

Updating to the latest Drupal version is highly recommended, as the hardware used is constantly being upgraded to provide maximum security against new threats.

Does Drupal Hosting back up my site data?

Security is very important to us, and so we regularly back up all of the data on all of our servers once a week, on weekends. We then email the backup files to each of our clients. It is your responsibility to store your backup data safely. We can restore your website from our own weekly archives, but a $20 charge is applied for this service, which also requires support ticket submission.
